Various bursary and loan opportunities are available to each student in order to assist all students with their unique situations. Academic merit bursaries are automatically rewarded to students with good grades. It serves as brilliant motivation to study hard and keep your marks tip top! The NWU even gives discount to students with more than one sibling also studying at the unitversity. Leadership bursaries are awarded to those students who already proved their worth at school; if you served as head girl or head boy in high school, you are destined to apply for this bursary.
Arts and culture play is a big part of our university’s personality. For this reason, we motivate our students to participate in the arts on any of our three campuses. By doing this, you stand the chance of being awarded a bursary for your outstanding talent and hard work. These bursaries are valid for one year, and prospective students can apply online.
Don’t fret if you do not fall inside any of these categories. You can still apply for a general support bursary. It is of the utmost importance to the NWU that will focus on growing into your full potential. You can only do that if you’re not up all night, trying to figure out how you are going to pay for next semester’s studies.
